Here’s the 1,000+ bucket list that I, Jon Pedersen, put up online many years ago to stay accountable in achieving my goals and objectives – and to inspire others. Since then, thousands of other people have reported they have been inspired to create their own bucket list.
I hope this list may inspire you to make your own list of the things you want to see, do and achieve in life.
There’s so much beauty and amazing things out there in the world just waiting to be explored and experienced, and it’s impossible to know about it all. So often we do not really know what we want until we read or hear more about it — and so hopefully this list can help with that.
PS! The blog was somewhat discontinued many years ago because I simply prefer “doing” as opposed to “writing about doing” and I didn’t really fancy the “hey look at me” that I felt it turned into instead of being an avenue for others to take action in their own lives. Those are not necessarily mutually exclusive, but overall it just didn’t feel right to me. Anyways, the bucket list itself is being maintained, and I got quite a few items left – and the clock is ticking! But instead, I’ve created a YouTube channel with my girlfriend Polly where we, among others, are pursuing lots of bucket list-related activities and challenges – as we figured it would be the perfect way to go about creating everlasting keepsakes together while trying to live our lives to the fullest, and we have also created a working document for goals we’ll pursue in Australia, where we currently live.
ACTIVITIES & ADVENTURES BUCKET LIST
Everyone ought to seek out new activities and adventures, seek to conquer fears, try new stuff, explore what life has to offer, and chase our dreams — whether that be driving a sports car in 200 km/h, riding a mechanical bull, riding bobsleigh, holding a big speech or whatever that makes sense to you. Simply put, it is important that you keep challenging yourself in order to develop and grow as a person (and have fun, of course).

Events are often some of the very most memorable experiences that we experience throughout our life. They are something that we keep treasuring and reminiscing about time and time again as we grow older. Now, what “events” entails may vary from person to person — whether that be hosting a major cook-off in your neighbourhood, attending the summer Olympics or whatever makes sense to you. However, I would recommend you include some major festivals. It is a rarity when citizens from all around the world gather for no reason whatsoever besides to celebrate life and have fun. PS! Some of these goals are definitely a stretch as it can be hard to be at the right place at the right time. I’ve therefore made priority list of it in paper form that I keep near my desk, so I gradually act upon those that are of the most importance to me.

Hey there just wanted to give you a quick heads up.
The text in your article seem to be running off the screen in Opera.
I’m not sure if this is a formatting issue or something to do with browser compatibility but I figured I’d post to let you know.
The design and style look great though! Hope you get the issue fixed soon. Kudos
Ohh shoot! Thanks for the update, we’ll look into it and fix it.

Am so glad to see your site back- I love bucket lists! Try to do some of my own – best to do when you can as both hubby and I have health and mobility issues that will be limiting some of ours.. so do this while you can!
Thank you very much for that sweet comment – truly appreciated. And duly noted regarding mobility and health issues. What I’d say in that regard is that we can only do the best we can with what we got, and we can’t change the past. So – as I’m sure you will – make the most of what you can 🙂 I wish you and your hubby a fruitful 2022, and hope you have lots of great time together.
Thank you- gonna give it our best!
Would love to see you put out a book!
Thanks a lot, Monique! On that note, what kind of book would you have in mind – or that you think would be interesting to read? Would love to learn more. As I’m beginning to write a lot more, it’s certainly not out of question that I may do so in the future.
