Valedictorian Speech – Make Every Day Count

I gave this speech back in July 2015 as valedictorian at Griffith University in Australia. The reason why I want to share this speech with you is because I believe it fits extremely well with the overall message I seek to convey on this website; to live life with a purpose that will make every day count. Bucket List Fanatic was originally created by Jon Pedersen as a blog to help and motivate people around the world to pursue their own dreams and learn more about some of the wonders of the world. While the website eventually amassed over 10,000 monthly visitors, Jon got too busy on other projects to have any time writing and maintaining the website — and additionally, he much more enjoyed doing stuff on his bucket list than writing about them, particularly so since he never had the goal of making the website revolve around him but instead about empowering and helping others.

So, while you may find some traces of posts or other content on the website, it is essentially only being kept alive to maintain Jon’s 1,000+ bucket list — which he wants to keep public to help him stay accountable to his goals. Hopefully, his list may also inspire you to create your own.
